Haute Couture Wine
A Historic Building
Our winery is located in Chacras de Coria, Mendoza. Built in 1890, it is a local heritage site of Mendoza. Count Patrick d’Aulan and his family, former owners of Piper Heidsieck, one of the oldest Champagne Houses, developed the project and started the restoration.
Since the moment Alta Vista was founded, research and innovation have been part of the essence of our technical team. Technology applied to winemaking has always been a crucial component of every single process and stage.
Tailor-made vinification + human-scale winery
We make our wines in stainless steel tanks, concrete vats, and now we have added the first Galileo spherical concrete vats in Mendoza to produce fine wine. Thanks to all these vessels, we can keep a close track of each parcel and apply precision viticulture.
We keep our most valuable treasure in our underground cellars, which are part of the original construction of the winery: More than 1000 barrels, 100% French oak, in which we age our wines. The freshness, humidity and natural darkness of these rooms are the three essential pillars to store wine, and a great advantage considering the dry weather of Mendoza.
The winery is open to the public for guided tours. We also offer a unique gastronomic experience in Assemblage, our restaurant.
